I am feeling some solidarity with Aunt Susie.

I was out of the Internet loop all weekend and I was really excited to come in to work and declare my place in this lovely Rutabaga family.

But what do I share with you? Really when I think about it there is nothing monumental.

I could tell you that I was in quarantine all last weekend after a Noro Virus outbreak at work. You know that cool virus that we frequently hear about that knocks out entire cruise ships? Yeah, that is the one. I was not really very sick but I was locked in my apartment for 72 hours until I was no longer potentially contagious. I watched a lot of movies and just hung low. It was very very boring! I was a little embarrassed when a boy called me on Friday night and it was obvious that he had woken me up from a nap. (It was not a BOY boy, just a friend... but still, I have my fun single girl image to uphold.)

Fall in Portland has been lovely! It hardly rained at all in October and that left all the leaves in the trees to turn lovely colors. In the last two weeks I have gone out to Forest Park a couple of times for some quality time with nature. It looks a little like this... just a little more yellow.



I ran around amidst the falling leaves and the mud and it was nice to get dirty, get out of the city and get the blood flowing through my veins... especially after being cooped up all weekend.

This is a fantastically fun way to keep us all informed of what the others are up to!! Great Idea!! I promise to come up with more exciting things to share with you all that have nothing to do with being quarantined.
