A Wonderful Saturday

The weather began bleak and foggy today. It made me want to stay snuggled in the house with a good book and all the paperwork from school. However, it was our Relief Society Super Saturday. So I struggled out the door and arrived late. So I did my token Christmas Craft and came home to help Ben rake the leaves. I was ever so happy as I walked out the door and the sun was shining. It could even be said that it was warm.

After the leaves, Ben and I went to do a little Christmas shopping . We started off at Harry and David's. We had a coupon for 30% off our purchase. So we picked up a few things and instead of spending $68 we spent $47. We also walked around the local Clayfolk pottery sale. There was some really beautiful work there. By this time the sun had set and the sky was beautiful. We decided to go to Jacksonville for dinner.

As we drove out there we passed a relatively new restaurant...or Ristorante as the sign says. A friend of mine had eaten there recently so I mentioned it in passing (literally) to Ben. We decided to try it out. I should have known from the sign. When the sign reads Pomodori Ristorante...you have to know that it's a little classy. Note to self: Next time wear a bra. It was a lovely place. Very quiet. Some people came in with kids and were seated in a different area that was more kid friendly. When I needed a water refill, they took my glass and replaced it with a new full one. Wow! I was impressed.

We had the best meal I've ever eaten. the bruschetta was fabulous. I had salad with Balsamic vinaigrette . Ben had minestrone soup. Both were great. Ben had Sausage Gnocchi. I had Pan Seared Scallops with Risotto and Asparagus spears. OH MY GOSH!!! It was amazing. It was a little spendy, but well worth the price we spent! Mmmm! Good Food!!!

It was a great surprise and I think it was better because of that. But...next time...Like a good boy scout I'm going to be better prepared...and wear a bra. (c:
