Thanksgiving on the Coast

It rained! I was hoping for a little sunshine. But it rained. We had a great time with Grampa and Gramma. We had Thanksgiving dinner at 'South Jetty Betty's' a little commissary at the RV park. We decided that we missed the smell of food cooking. The meal itself wasn't anything to write home about...or blog about here...but we had all the fixin's for $6.95 per person with no cooking or clean up. During the day we went for a very long ride--the girls in one car, the boys in the other. We stopped along the jetty for Grampa to fly a kite--and you know Jason, he's always ready to pose. We stayed in a small 'garden view' mobile home in the park. The ranger first set us up with sheets that were too small for the bed, so we had to go get others. Then we had to go get the ranger to help us get the heat going. I think they thought we were a bit of a pain. After Thanksgiving dinner we went back to the Motorhome. Vickie worked on her computer while the rest of us watched a movie that Grampa had gotten in the mail. It was really a great movie...Walter Mathau and Glenda Jackson in Hopskotch. We headed out on Friday morning by about 7:00. We ate breakfast in Veneta at a great little place called Dixies, dropped Jason off and drove home. A great couple of days!
